August 14, 2019 • 0 comments
This is a basic, simple, and fast recipe for a fast-paced lifestyle. You can use it as the foundation to explore the world of flavors and add wine, apple cider, or other seasons. I would suggest that you try the original directions and ingredients first and experiment slowly if you like. Of course, the best results are going to be based on using our quality open pastured pork.
Directions
Ingredients
4 1/2 pounds pork roast (Boston butt)
3/4 cup sweet onion (roughly chopped)
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
2 teaspoons seasoned salt
Directions
Take all the dry ingredients and mix together, then rub mixture evenly over roast.
Place into crockpot then cover with onions and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours depending on how hot your crock pot runs.
Remove roast, using two forks shred meat to blend in onions. At this time taste to see if you need to adjust seasonings.
